GGST has experimented with most spray tan solutions available on the market today and was never quite satisfied. So, we took the matter into our own hands and found an AMAZING chemist to craft our EXCLUSIVE solutions. We have every solution you could possibly want, including Rapid Rinse. Color choices include: Light, Medium, Dark, Deep Dark & Ultra Dark.
Our solutions are made using only the highest quality ingredients. Our signature products & formulas are infused with ultra-hydrating, anti-aging and skin plumping elements. All waxing, shaving, hair, mani/pedis, and eyelash extension services MUST be done AT LEAST 24 hours before your airbrush tan appointment. Your spray tan should always be the LAST "beauty" treatment on your list to ensure it isn't messed up by other services after it is applied!

Shower and exfoliate using a scrub, body brush and/or scrub mitt the day prior to your appointment. It is imperative to remove product buildup, body oils and dead skin cells in order to allow the product to fully penetrate. Your tan will not develop 100% if any barriers are on the skin.

Please avoid Dove, Olay and Pantene products before and after tanning. GGST recommends our signature body scrub OR Pears Bar Soap (you can find it at the Dollar Tree!) and exfoliating gloves for PRE-tan Prep!

Please DO NOT SHOWER RIGHT BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT as the heat/steam will open your pores and can adversely affect the tan by not allowing total absorption of the tanning solution. If you must shower the day of your tan, shower must be done AT LEAST 4 hours prior to your appointment. Shower only with cool water and avoid using any soap, shaving cream or exfoliant products.

Please do not shave the day of your tan as the razor may cause your skin to be uneven and the moisture strip to leave a barrier on your skin.

Under no circumstance can you receive an airbrush tan if you have had a sunburn within two weeks of your scheduled appointment.

During your tan you are welcome to undress to your comfort level. Many of my clients get sprayed nude or topless, but you are welcome to wear a bikini, bra & panties, or I have disposables here that you can wear as well. Overspray that gets on your clothing completely washes out. Please keep in mind that you will have prominent tan lines where clothes are left on.

Absolutely NO lotion, moisturizers, sunscreens, deodorants or perfumes on the skin the day of your appointment

Please be fully prepared at the time of your appointment.

Please be on time to your appointment. If you are early, be aware that you may have to wait. If you are late, you may have to wait until the next available appointment or reschedule.

Wear dark and LOOSE fitting clothing and loose flip-flops. No jeans, tight fitting clothes like leggings, sports bras, socks or running shoes until after your first rinse.

Rainy day? Make sure to wear a jacket with a hood, loose pants, an umbrella and shoes that cover your feet but aren’t tight.

ABSOLUTELY NO sweating, getting wet, bathing, washing hands, swimming or exercising for 8-12 hours. (Unless the Rapid Rinse option was chosen)

Between 8-24 hours do a cool water rinse only. If it's been longer than 24 hours, shower as normal, avoiding exfoliants.

The cosmetic bronzer will wash off in the shower

Use approved moisturizer on your skin twice daily to maintain your color and fade evenly. GGST recommends our signature Tan Extender lotion available in studio.

Pat dry or air dry to avoid unnecessary friction

Keep jewelry off while your tan develops.

Avoid manually exfoliating your skin.

Avoid bar soaps, alcohol based products, toners, astringents, acne cleansers/products, AHAs, BHAs, and Retin-A.

Please follow the recommended wait times before your first rinse. Your tan will continue to develop over the next 24 hours.

24 hours after your appointment, you can begin using a body wash that does not contain sulfates, mineral oil or petroleum - avoid bar soaps, Dove, Dial, Olay, etc. Using products that are not pH balanced could result in a lighter tan that does not last (acidic skin) or a tan that turns orange (alkaline skin). If you need assistance in selecting products, GGST offers pH balanced products made specifically for spray tans.

Use a sharp, clean razor when shaving. We recommend using hair conditioner in place of shaving cream.

Avoid long hot showers, baths and hot tubs.

MOISTURIZE TWICE DAILY. This will slow down your skin’s natural cell turnover and will ensure an even, flawless fade. Vaseline Cocoa Radiance Lotion, Alba or Shea Moisture brand lotion (can be found at Target) is highly recommended to ensure best results.

You must wear sunscreen when outdoors. Avoid Spray Sunscreens.

Chlorine will affect your tan. Please wear a waterproof sunscreen to create a barrier if chlorine can't be avoided.

Airbrush tans can last anywhere from 5-10 days depending on your skin type and how diligently you follow the Post Tan Care recommendations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I SWIM AFTER MY TAN?
You can certainly swim, but chlorine WILL diminish the life of the tan. Please make sure you rinse well after the pool and apply lotion to keep your skin well moisturized. If you're planning on getting in a chlorinated pool. Please create a barrier with a non-spray, waterproof sunscreen. GGST recommends the brand Sun Bum for use with your spray tan. It's sold at Target, Wal-mart, Amazon, etc. Reapply every 2 hours.
ARE YOU ABLE TO TAN DARKER COMPLEXIONS?
Of course! Spray tans do so much more than just add color. It can blend tan lines and even out any imperfections in skin tone.
HOW OFTEN CAN/SHOULD I TAN?
This is going to vary by client, it's ideal that your previous tan be entirely exfoliated off before we respray. If you're taking care of your tan properly, you should fade completely even and be able to be sprayed over if desired.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
Everyone should be very aware of what they are putting on their skin. I'm happy to show you ingredients prior to spraying you if you so prefer, just ask. My professional spray tan solution uses only the highest quality ingredients and DHA available.
CAN I SPRAY TAN IF I HAVE DRY SKIN?
Please let me know if you have extremely dry skin. Keeping your skin properly hydrated is imperative in the tan developing and fading evenly. Those who are prone to eczema or psoriasis may not be a good fit for spray tanning.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Women are welcome to undress to their comfort level. Overspray that gets on your clothing completely washes out. Please keep in mind that you will have prominent tan lines where clothes are left on. Loose fitting, dark clothing should be worn when leaving your appointment and during tan development period. DO NOT WEAR JEANS WHILE YOUR TAN IS DEVELOPING. Avoid wearing a bra if possible.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT TAKE?
Spray and dry time takes about 25 minutes. If we're blending tan lines, an additional 5 minutes will be needed.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I spray out of my home studio and am located in the Northwest/Rosedale area of Bakersfield. Exact address will be given once all paperwork is filled out and appointment is confirmed.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
You can expect your airbrush tan to last 5-10 days. Proper skin prep and keeping your skin hydrated is KEY in getting longevity out of your spray tan.
HOW CAN I EXTEND THE LIFE OF MY TAN?
Avoid manually exfoliating skin. NO LOOFAH'S OR WASHCLOTHS in the shower. Pat or air dry when you get out of the shower. Moisturize immediately after showering while your skin is still damp. Use an alcohol free moisturizer twice a day.
